Improving Communication with Adults with Learning Disabilities (ICALD)

TAKE PART IN OUR WORKSHOPS!
We want to meet people with learning disabilities, their families, and staff that support them or provide services such as therapies in a social care context.
We are asking people what they would find helpful to improve and support communication strategies for people with very little or no speech who live in social care settings. What changes should there be in the future? What may or may not make these changes possible?

Who can take part?
- Adults with learning disabilities living in a social care setting
- Family members of adults with learning disabilities living in a social care setting
- Professionals providing services or supporting people with learning disabilities living in social care settings.

The study is part of the ICALD research programme and is led by Dr Vicky Slonims, Professor Jill Bradshaw and Dr Rosa Hoekstra
