Cumbria’s libraries are currently closed for browsing and general access. However, they continue to facilitate digital access for those with essential needs which include job applications, benefit applications, accessing public services, financial information, online banking, for educational purposes, to keep in touch with family members or to support mental health. They are also continuing with their select and collect service for books and hearing aid batteries; provide online services including eBooks, magazines, newspapers and audio books, run the home delivery service and provide access to library premises to support community learning and skills classes
