Dementia Training for Carers is a programme of one-day events built on the hugely popular 10 Helpful Hints series. Suitable for family and informal carers, each event gives practical information and help which draws on research and knowledge developed over the last 25 years. It provides an opportunity for carers to explore specific issues which matter to them, both with each other and with experts from DSDC.

The training is delivered in a relaxed environment by experts who have both professional and personal experience of caring for a family member with dementia. There is also opportunity for private questions.

Dementia Training for Carers days are free to attend, thanks to support from the Dementia Fund (Comic Relief, The Ballinger Trust and Northern Rock) and are available for family and unpaid carers living in the North East of England and Cumbria.
