Cumberland Council divided the contract for supporting unpaid Carers into 3 separate lots; each of which was won by a different organisation:
Services from 1st October will be delivered by:
Carer Support Carlisle & Eden and Carer Support West Cumbria will be working with the new providers to ensure a seamless handover for the Carers they support in Cumberland. Both Carer’s organisations will be contacting the Carers they support directly, updating them throughout this transition period.
As always, Carers in Cumberland who have questions can contact their Support Worker directly.
Carers in EDEN supported by Carer Support Carlisle & Eden are unaffected by these changes.
Carer Support West Cumbria will now focus exclusively on delivering our charitable aims whilst continuing to work with the new providers, local organisations and alongside Carer Support Cumbria to support unpaid Carers.
